Tavri blinked at the sudden pressure to his forehead, squinting at the new girl’s face—Jigoku’s face, he corrected himself, before smiling and attempting to bite her finger with his freshly grown teeth. With his mouth then occupied, Tavri introduced himself through his eyeholes.

“Greetings, my fair lady,” his right eye blared. “I assume your name is Jigoku? Alyson has told me a little bit about you.” His voice then switched to the left eye, “I hear you are an incurable and unapologetic ‘whore.’ Quite pleased to meet you.” As a formality, Tavri punctuated his last statement with a hand outstretched in what he thought to be a thoroughly friendly manner.

Jigoku wiggled her finger around trying to get him to release. “A whore, huh? Don’t worry, Aly here’s just jealous that’s all.” She finally yanked her hand away and lightly smacked him on the top of his head, not paying attention to his outstretched hand.

“Well, those two over there are Break and Waltz.”

Tavri shook his head slightly from the impact and retracted his hand, more than a little sad that the second person he had offered his hand to had rejected him once more. He was beginning to wonder if he had been taught the wrong set of human etiquette. Resolving to correct this possible misdemeanor on his willfully trusting self much later, he regarded the girl in front of him much more closely than his initial sighting of her, musing, “So you don’t have extensively promiscuous habits tacked onto your name, then?”

He inclined his gaze towards Alyson suspiciously, “You weren’t lying to me, were you?” Then he caught sight of the aforementioned “Break” and “Waltz” and phased directly to the space in front of them. He was about to raise his hands once more when he thought better of it and poked them simultaneously on their foreheads instead. “Neither of you are especially fond of sexual carnality, are you?” he cheerfully intoned.

Noting the eyes following his and Alyson’s movements, Tavri obediently dropped to the ground and tried to synchronize his steps with his guide. “Hmm, well, not many humans—that I know of, anyway—happen to be acquainted with multiple demon friends. Of course, this is the first time I’ve ever been to this world, so I suppose I could be wrong…”

He trailed off upon seeing the new arrivals: a smirking girl with her arms secured around what appeared to be her male entourage. Odd. Was this girl some kind of slavedriver? He settled for patiently awaiting Aly’s response to the new girl’s jibe. The boyfriend comment could wait for some excellent entertainment material later on in the day, he decided.

“I don’t have a damn boyfriend,” she crossed her arms over her chest, tapping her foot impatiently. The boys knew what this meant, they laughed nervously and took a step to the side, leaving the girl in the middle alone. “Geez, way to kill the moment, kiddo.” Jigoku rolled her eyes.

Break then had an arm slung over Waltz, leaning against him. “See? This is why we shouldn’t even bother with these two. Let’s just go back and hit up that restaurant with those cute waitresses.” Waltz shook her head and narrowed his eyes at the younger of the two, “You’re such a pig.”

“Why does it even bother you that I’m with them, I thought you hated those two?” Jigoku asked, walking up to her and Tavri, pocking the latter’s forehead.

Tavri pricked up his hastily done ears (one pointy, the other rectangular) at the word “demon” and floated up to walk beside Alyson. “Did you just say ‘demon’?!” he gushed excitedly. This was rather unexpected. “You… you’ve been around, Alyson.”

“What do you mean I’ve been around?” She huffed and continued walking and snapped, pointing at him, “Stop floating, people are staring!”

There was a whistle a few feet away, “Aha! Told you Miss Lizzie was going to be around here. Hey, she even found herself a boyfriend.” Jigoku grinned, each arm around the two boys standing on each side of her. Both had blue eyes, but one was blond while the other had black hair. The blond one had noticeably longer hair as well—neatly tied back in a short pony tail.

Watching Alyson’s face any sign of remorse, Tavri saw that there was none… and promptly crumpled to the ground in despair. Literally.

“But Alyson!” he whined from his heap of limbs. “I just…” He paused for a moment, wriggling around in mild irritation. Then, seemingly coming to a conclusion, he flicked his gaze back up to her and sniffed, “I just wanted to be friends.”

((ooc: D; tavri is sad. WAE SO TSUN-TSUN, ALYSON. YOU TAKE AFTER YOUR MASTER LMAO.))

“I don’t need friends.”

((ooc: aly is pissed. Tavri so annoying. You take after your master too XDD))

There it was. The final blow.

With the… err, heartfelt gasp of a woman scorned, Tavri stared up one last time at Alyson’s stony face, his makeshift limbs seeping together to form an impressively forlorn brown puddle on the ground. His mask splashed around in the midst of it before an eerie howl of wind clawed its way around his essence in a miniature tornado, receding only to reveal nothing but empty space in its wake.

((ooc: there, see, you scared him away now. xD))

Tavri clutched at his heart. Or, well, where his heart would have been, had he bothered to make one. “You wound me, Alyson,” he whined. “I just thought I might try my hand at relieving you of your boredom. Clearly my efforts have all been for naught.

Aly shrugged, “They sure have. Ya know, just leave me alone. Go back to where ever you came from.” She waved.

Somewhat startled by the girl’s abrupt awakening (he had only counted up to six seconds, maybe seven), Tavri instinctively dove backwards in what he thought to be a well executed cartwheel. He looked straight up into her eyes and scratched the back of his head sheepishly, recognizing irritation set in the lines of her grumpy face.

“Ahaha,” he laughed, “sorry ‘bout that. You just looked so peaceful and”—he gestured vaguely with his other hand—“asleep, and…” He trailed off, fully aware that he had no real excuse for disturbing the girl’s slumber. He paused mid-thought. The girl?

“AHH!” he exclaimed loudly, jumping to his feet and ending up half a foot in the air for his trouble. He glanced down in mild surprise before whipping his gaze back to the girl’s once more. “What’s your name?” he asked brightly, altering one of his fingers to resemble a daisy before flipping swiftly through the planes and reappearing in front of who he now mentally labeled his “friend-thing” with a hand out for shaking and a wide smile on his masked face.

Wrinkling her nose, the female leaned back against the tree behind her, bending her knee and having the bottom of her right shoe rest on the trunk. Whoever this thing was—she wanted nothing to do with them. His little outburst caused her to jump slightly and blink, a blank face overcoming her features. Where did it…go?

Sighing in relief, Aly brought her stance to an ease, about to take a step forward to leave when all of sudden that thing returned. Groaning, she rolled her eyes to the side, “Name’s Alyson.” With that she waved it off, shoving her hands into her pant’s pockets and walking away, down the hill and heading to her hotel room. Hopefully it didn’t follow her.

“Alyson,” Tavri repeated, grasping his chin and looking downwards. “Alyson. Alyson! What a delightfully—hey!” The girl—Alyson, he gleefully thought—had stalked off while he was sounding out her name.

Rude, but, and here Tavri tilted his head to the side as Alyson waved a hand in the air, at least she’s waving me goodbye! Though I don’t want to say goodbye yet… He frowned. That wouldn’t do. He hadn’t even told her his name yet! And plus, finally looking around at his surroundings, Tavri had no idea where he was. It sure didn’t look anything like Vy’s world. Or Son’s.

A light breeze sailed in from the west as Tavri straightened up and launched himself after Alyson, yelling, “Alyson! Lyson! Son! Oh wait, that’s—eh, AL! Wait up!”

Feeling the light breeze thicken and race by she paused, knowing all too well what caused such a rush. Aly tensed up, her eye twitching in annoyance once again when hearing it call after her. Crossing her arms over her chest, she looked at the thing with a frown. ”If you insist on calling me by a nickname then you have three options,” she turned to look at him and held out a finger. “Option 1: Aly” she then held up another finger, “Option 2: Alys,” and finally the third came up, ” and Option 3: Lys.”

It felt like this was inevitable. The person was going to follow her no matter what, well, that’s what it looked like to her anyways. Relaxing her shoulders and pushing a few strands of hair out of the way, she scratched the back of her neck, “I suppose I should ask what you are and who exactly you are.”

Seriously, this thing was worse than Lacri. That girl was too clingy for her own good.

Tavri halted his flight in mid-air, crossing his arms as he mulled over the girl’s words.

“I think I like Lyson the best.” He morphed his mask into his best imitation of a pout. “But,” he sighed, uncrossing his arms and throwing them into the air as though he were about to indulge in a particularly magnanimous act, “if you must insist, I suppose Aly would do just as well.” He spread his mouth into a wide grin as he examined the girl from head to toe, her following statement only barely registering into his mind five seconds later.

“Oh!” he exclaimed. “That’s right; I haven’t introduced myself. Silly me.” After taking the necessary time to facepalm and mutter various things in his native tongue to himself, Tavri then spat into his hand and offered it out to Alyson for a handshake.

“I am Tavri, a daemon from Inoriens.” He paused. “Or, as most humans refer to it—the Other World.“ The two dark openings that Tavri often attempted to pass off as his eyes suddenly curled themselves upward into half-moon shapes. “Pleased to meet your acquaintance, Ly—Alyson.”
